I am currently a PhD student in Computer Science at the City University of Hong Kong. My expected graduation date is August 31, 2023.
I have been doing research on Augmented Reality for the past seven years. In September 2019, I started my PhD research to explore how the human brain and body respond to AR and how we can use our findings to develop novel therapies. To this end, I have started collaborating with researchers from different disciplines such as neuroscience, rehabilitation science, and psychology.
In 2018, I completed my master’s degree at the University of Oldenburg under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Hein. In my master’s thesis, I worked on the development of a medical AR training system. The development was done in collaboration with the Interactice Media Design Lab of the Nara Institute of Science and Technology in Japan and the Institute of Computer Graphics and Image Processing of the Graz University of Technology in Austria. Later, I evaluated the system with medical experts in Oldenburg, Germany.
Prior to my master’s degree, I received my bachelor’s degree in computer science from Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg in 2016.
